Our Go-National Campaign

https://charity.gofundme.com/o/en/campaign/go-national1?

The Muslim Endorsement Council, Inc. (MEC) is acknowledged as the standard-bearer for Islamic chaplaincy endorsement.  We are asking for your support to help us increase our national outreach.  Our Go-National Campaign is to help fund our efforts of becoming a national organization.

Kindly support our campaign and Allah (SWT) will strengthen you in all your endeavors as he said:

“O you who believe! if you help (the cause of) Allah, He will help you and make firm your feet.” (Qur’an 47:7)

Our work is important because it serves and benefits the Muslim community by ensuring that:

1.      Islam is included and suitably represented in public and private institutions such as the military, colleges, police, prisons and correctional institutions, etc. as Muslims are involved in service to humanity in the way of Allah (SWT) particularly those serving on the front lines in chaplaincy

2.     Muslim men and women who serve as chaplains are rooted in the teachings of the Qur’an and Sunnah in their practice and meet the professional standards of pastoral care, and we subsequently endorse and support them professionally as religious leaders

3.      A chaplain has credibility within the diverse American Muslim community as a competent and recognized representative of the community

A competent chaplain:

o    Will be able to guide people

o    Will be able to address and meet the spiritual needs of all peoples, in general, and Muslims, in particular

o    Educate the public, about Islam

o    Acts as a professional representative for Muslims

o    Generates impactful programming

o    Advocates for Muslims. For example, a Muslim chaplain in such an institution would, in addition to pastoral care, advocate for prayer space and times for salat, halal food etc.

Visit our website at  mecct.org to learn more about us

With your help, we can meet our Go-National Campaign giving goal of $70,000  In-Sha Allah and fulfill this communal obligation.

Kindly give generously to the campaign. We ask Allah (SWT) to reward you immensely for your gift

MECC IS NOW MEC!

To reflect the refocused effort to advance endorsement on a national level, the Muslim Endorsement Council of Connecticut, Inc. (MECC) resolved to change its name in November 2019 to the Muslim Endorsement Council Inc (MEC) and expanded its board composition to cover not just Connecticut but the entire United States.  The name change was formally effected in January 2020.

MEC is looking forward to the future growth of Muslim chaplains with a renewed commitment to being the national standard-bearer for endorsement, and consistency and integrity in the field of Islamic chaplaincy.
